Teni Melidonian Steps Down From AMPAS Full-Time Position, Staying On As Consultant

Teni Melidonian has stepped down from her full-time executive position at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. On Monday, CEO Bill Kramer announced Melidonian’s transition to a consultant role in a staff-wide email as part of a restructuring, days after the Academy invited 529 film industry notables to become Oscar voters.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, founded in 1927, originally started as a small group of professionals to mediate labor disputes in the film industry.
